OKC MED was created with the following purpose:

  • To highlight minority-owned businesses in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area across industries and cultures;

  • To celebrate the achievements and contributions of minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs;

  • To strengthen the minority business enterprise ecosystem through best practice education, consumer relations, technology innovation, and capital investment.

MED Week OKC highlights a week of virtual activities, educational sessions, and concludes with the Minority Business Awards on Saturday, October 10th, which includes a $1,000 Special Recognition prize. All minority businesses are encouraged to partake in the webinars and sign up for the matchmaking sessions with local and federal procurement officers sponsored by Oklahoma P-Tac.

For additional information, to register for the Matchmaking or to nominate a minority business to be recognized, check out their website, and follow OKC MED on Facebook with the hashtag #OKCMED.
